Core topics

  • Evidence Students Can Keep
  • Evidence by Course Route

Evidence Students Can Keep

Different students will produce different evidence, but these formats work well for technology Skills section activities.

Screenshots

Screenshots of code, model outputs, Blockly AI workflows, project interfaces or generated media can show visible progress.

Short Reflections

A few sentences each week explaining what changed, what was difficult and what the student learned can make evidence more meaningful.

Project Files

Python scripts, notebooks, model diagrams, prompt logs or final showcase files help make the work concrete.

Final Showcase

A final chatbot, classifier, generative media showcase, Python app or ML portfolio project can summarise the journey.

Questions Parents Ask

What evidence should students upload for DofE Skills?

Students should follow their DofE Leader's guidance. For AI and coding, useful evidence can include screenshots, project files, brief reflections, progress notes and final outcomes.

Is a completion certificate enough evidence?

A certificate can help, but it is usually stronger when paired with evidence of regular progress, project work and the student's own explanation of what they learned.

Can Code & AI help with evidence?

The courses are designed to create evidence-friendly weekly outcomes. Students still manage their own eDofE records and should follow their Leader's requirements.
